plein air painter - February FEATURE artist
Kathy Cayer Daigle
Artist Statement
It
was on a trip to Venice that I first discovered the extraordinary
paintings of the Spanish artist, Joaquin Sorolla. I was fascinated by
the luminosity in his paintings. I knew instantly that I too wanted to
try to evoke the emotions one felt when viewing his work. The way the
light and movement made his work come alive mesmerized me. It was
breathtaking!
