Wide-spread recognition has come to Nancy Albrecht’s paintings with three awards at the Cedarburg Wisconsin Plein Air Festival in 2006, Best of Show at Next Picture Show Gallery’s Art & Architecture Exhibit, and a sell-out solo show at the prestigious University Club of Chicago Gallery in January 2007. Her work was described by Chicago writer Robert Kameczura as having “…strong geometry, bold paint surfaces, lyric details and optimistic strength.” Active in the Plein Air Painters of Chicago. Signature Member of International Plein Air Painters, and associate member of Landscape Artists International, this urban landscape painter recharges her batteries by painting in rural areas and small towns across the country.
