NHPleinAir Artists in New Hampshire To Do Magazine

The September issue of New Hampshire To DO magazine, a beautiful full color glossy publication, has a stunning 3 page article (pages 20-22) about White Mountain painters, with a "then and now" aspect. The article talks about the White Mountain school painters at the turn of the century - Benjamin Champney, Thomas Cole, etc and has full color images of two of Champney's paintings. It mentions the White Mountain art exhibit that is currently in place at the Museum of NH History in Concord.

NHPlein Air Artists is the focus of the "now" aspect of the article and images of paintings by Sharon Allen & Elaine Farmer appear right there with the Champney images! There's also a photo of Elaine painting that Sharon took on an outing in June, and that photo shows Elaine and part of the view that is the subject of her painting which appears next to the photo. Neat to compare the images!

The article ends with a highlight block that lists details of NHPleinAir's info for the IPAP World-Wide Paint Out and our other upcoming paint out at the Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm on October 6 in Tamworth, NH. The Sunday date for our IPAP event is wrong there (September 10), but it is correct in the article itself and readers should be able to easily figure out that it's the 9th since the days are listed in sequence.

We're very excited about this article! The magazine has a fairly widespread circulation and is available in States other than NH (generally at Barnes & Noble and Borders) , so see if you can find a copy in your area. I'll be sending a copy of the magazine to Jacq.
