WWPO: Pictures and News from Quadra Island, BC
Here are some pictures from our paint out on Quadra Island, BC, Sept 8 and 9, during the 2007 IPAP WorldWide Paint Out.
Firesign hosted a workshop for the paint out weekend to get more people here. First Warren Stenberg was coming but his wife had health problems so had to cancel about a month out. Then my friend Bill Adams said he would love to fill in-then his knee went into major pain so he had to cancel too. Dianne Bersea came to the rescue just a week before the workshop and did a wonderful job of getting everybody painting and having fun.
The weather was fantastic-sunny and not too hot with a bit of a breeze. So we went to Rebecca Spit and the Heriot Bay government dock and got some great paintings. Workshop participants were: Pat Hart, Rosemarie Gall, Laurie Savard, and Christina Munck. Perrin Sparks painted with us for the paint out, not part of the workshop. A few island folk came by Sunday at 3 PM to see our "gallery". Next year, we will have a reception and sale too.
